HOOF
Okay, it's safe to say that I hope my apartment search culminates somewhere on Dundas West solely so I can dine at Hoof Café on a regular basis. My boyfriend and I scurried there quickly after hearing rave reviews from our foodie Torontonian friends and oh...my...god. Two days and two brunches later (Thursday is a great day for brunch), I would like to announce that their tongue grilled cheese (pictured above) is THE best sandwich I've ever had. And paired with the Hoof Caesar? Well, I'm happy to be back in Canada.Hoof Café

THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT
So, I'm back in Canada and it's been pretty blissful (although I'm majorly missing Seoul). Reunions, crisp air, cheese, strong coffee, and... lots of apartment hunting. That being said, it's time to make a little addition to my labels:hello, toronto

ANNE COLLIER
Phaidon's Creamier is fantastic (as is the whole Cream series). Aside from being beautifully assembled (it reads like a gorgeous pink newspaper), it's full of, well, really cool art. Anne Collier caught my eye yesterday, but expect to see a few more of my faves as I get further along in the book.9/15/10
HERE KITTY X CAFE RONIN
Cafe Ronin (T 02 336 0105), which I have been meaning to mention for awhile, is THE best place (and my regular spot) to get a glass of wine in Hongdae. They know how to pour a real glass of red and it comes served with complimentary snacks (usually a cheese platter of sorts). At night they place classic black and white movies on a projector outside, which is initially what drew Carlos and I in (many months ago).

1. Sinsa-dong's Scoop Garden Cafe is a great place to relax with a glass of wine. They also make surprisingly satisfying sandwiches out of their lovely greenhouse style kitchen.
