JOEY'S CAFE

Joey's Brunch Cafe in Hongdae offers a very satisfying smoked salmon sandwich (amongst others), framed photographs of The Royal Family, and a pretty delightful pop-up menu. Best reserved for winter months, they also serve up the cheesiest broccoli soup I've ever had. On my latest visit, the servers were sporting freshly chopped bowl cuts and floral brooches. All in all perfect for a Sunday afternoon bite.

  1. Katie,

This might be a hard question for you to answer, since you count as a local, but is there a hotel or two in the Hongdae area that you'd recommend?

  4. @itwishihadtaste - Hmmm. I don't really know about any hotels in the hongdae area - I do see a lot of signs for hostels here and there. Actually I've only stayed in Seoul one night at the W - but for a special occasion.

@anonymous - thank you! yes, there are many spots like this in hongdae - sort of in the opposite direction from the park/club scene.
